Game Age

Oh, how well I remember this awkward age.  Isabella looks on as Ashley explains the rules to a new game.  I remember being the much the younger child trying to play games with the older neighborhood games.

It isn't easy being that child, it isn't easy being the parent watching either.  Bella was able to hang for a while and then she moved on.  Proud of how well she handles herself with peers both younger and older.

A 170 year old tradition,  Mule Day 2014.  The cowgirls were on hand for the parade, the fellowship and the fun.

Horsing Around

No, we are not trying to see every city in the country by horse drawn carriage.  But now that I think about it, that would be a noble endeavor.

Deborah and I did enjoy the opportunity to see Nashville by carriage.  And we learned something in the process - horses do love to get frisky with her.  I think she brings out the animal in them.  Our stallion, named Blue, showed out when she was around.

This would be the second time in a week that she has brought out the "wild" in an otherwise well trained horse.

I have to admit, she has the same effect on me.  But reading this blog years from now, I think Isabella won't want to know that.  Still, I'm really into your Mom, baby girl.  I hope you marry a man that is as into you and I am to your Mom.

Nothing, Dad

"What are you doing, Isabella?"

"Nothing, Dad. Just playing with street chalk."

Looks to me like she has mistaken her face for the street.

Wardrobe Check

And I think she finally did it.  Isabella has completely broken the cuteness meter by maxing it out.

Isabella and Carrington were beyond cute during wardrobe check for their upcoming dance recital. Consider this your sneak peak.

Kindergarten Registration

It's official!  Isabella is registered for kindergarten!  She will start Kindergarten in August at Chapman's Retreat,  known affectionately as Brother's Old School.

Ms. Camille was so excited to get her registered.  Daddy showed her the gym and little Ms. just walked in and out like a big girl.  Oh, wait. She is a big girl.

Doctor, Doctor Give Me the News

Isabella's big day continued at the ENT's office.  She and the Doctor decided it was time for her ear tubes to come out. And so it shall be.

Isabella isn't real excited about the procedure but she is thrilled that she won't have to wear ear plugs in the pool this summer.

Prayers appreciated as we approach the April 24 removal date.  Once again, she will get anesthesia, the parents get nothing to get us through the procedure.
