Too Hot

Tough night but a little better day for our ailing wonder girl.   We battled temps in high 103's all night.  Finally getting a little break mid-morning.  She has been just miserable.

Feeling well or not, she took time to lay her baby doll in her lap, pat her back and rock her to sleep.  Baby Bella will make a good Mommy one day.

Caring for the Sick

The academy called to say Baby Bella was sporting 101.7 fever.  I picked her up and shortly found that the fever had spiked to 103.1.   She kept saying "Bella hot."

Our little angel is feeling less than angelic.  You know she feels bad when all she wants to do is lay on the couch and stare at the ceiling.

Hoping she has a better day tomorrow.

Hide n Sleep

Baby Bella found Daddy's chap stick while waiting for him to get dressed yesterday.  She hid in the closet and applied it over and over and over...  At least she put it on her lips, she was smart enough to know exactly where to apply the discovered item.

Then it was off to the pediatrician where we discovered that both ear tubes are now out and we have yet another ear infection in the left ear.   Praying for full recovery this time.  They are talking new ear tubes if this continues.

Bella and Daddy had a lunch date together and she was a perfect angel.  I think she kinda enjoyed having me all to herself.  It was a full morning and Bella fell asleep on the ride home.

The intention was to take her to the Academy and get back to work but the Tornado sirens were blaring when I arrived so I decided to keep her with me the rest of the day.  Any day with the kids is a good day.  This one especially so.  Perhaps it's just that I am feeling so blessed after seeing all of the destruction mother nature wrought yesterday.

Shampoo Curl

Said I would not be one of those parents. Wrong, again.

Mommy and I had a belly laugh at Baby Bella's giant shampoo curl. Back up Lady GaGa. Meet Baby GaGa.

Mommy's Roses

Sometimes you just have to stop and smell the roses. Mommy's red and yellow Knock-Out roses are putting on a big show this Spring.

Easter Morning 2011

The Easter Baskets...

Apparently, the Easter Bunny had summer on his mind when he brought Baby Bella some new swim suits in her Easter Basket. She appreciated them as much as she did the sidewalk chalk and the chocolate.

Big Brother no longer believes in the Easter bunny but he enjoyed his basket just the same. It was a model car basket for Skyler.

Baby Bella enjoyed looking for her Easter Eggs. She especially liked that Grandpa offered to carry her basket for her.

Finding all of the eggs only means one thing - pouring them all out on the ground. Pick-up and repeat.
