Double Trouble

Again I say, you never know about these two.  Nana and Bella sharing a laugh as Bella clings to the "loot" Nana brought her from the Crayola Factory.

Buckled Bear

And why is the bear buckled up while sitting on Bella's backpack?  Because Bella insisted the bear be buckled up.

Seats belts have become a point of contention in the House of Cain. It seems Baby Bella is not yet convinced of their necessity, therefore it takes a little convincing every time we get in the car.  Perhaps our logic is finally winning the day. Bella insisted the bear be buckled up beside her this morning.

Gladly!  All too happy to do so if it ends the seat belt controversy.  Long live the bear.

See Spot Run

Mommy and Daddy came home to a little girl who looked like she had the chicken pox.  Turns out, it was just that her and Nana were playing with stickers.  You never know what these two will get in to.

Cool Splash

Baby Bella was shivering after a dip in the pool.  The family enjoyed a wonderful day the Eva & Jimmy's.

Friends

Bella and Skyler enjoyed play time in the neighbors back yard.  Bella enjoyed a game of her own - keeping the ball away from the boys.

Park Scene

Baby Bella and BFF Ava Grace escaped to the park for some fun.

Amused in the Tub

One of the things we are most grateful for as parents is that our kids, though separated by seven years, take great pride in each other and love to laugh together.

Skyler decided to be a clown by falling off the side of the tub, into the tub.  Bella, of course, peed her pants laughing and had to follow suite.

And the parents?  We just stood back laughing and snapping pictures with our phone. What more can you do but enjoy the moment?

Butterfly Catcher

Oh the joy!!!!  Daddy had a blast watching Baby Bella run around the yard trying to catch butterflies in her net.

In the end, Bella was like Alexander the Great.  She was sad that there were no more butterflies left to conquer.

Lunch is Served

What thoughtful, creative and special kids we have.   Skyler and Bella made lunch for Mommy and Daddy while we were working on a project.

A little chewy for sure but Wow, the presentation was worthy of praise.

The kitchen?  The kitchen didn't fare as well.  Baby Bella's pink kitchen needed a serious clean up after the meal.

Sunday Drive

Baby Bella was out for a sunny, Sunday drive.  I'm noticing that she felt the need to lean over and fiddle with the car radio while driving.   A trait, I fear, she inherited from Mommy and Cousin Amber Johnson.

There is comfort in knowing I no longer have to worry about how she will fare if her car breaks down.  She knows how to push it out the way of traffic.  A smart one, this girl.

Stranded

One of the hazards of playing with Baby Bella - you may find yourself stranded in the middle of the street.

Bella wanted to pull Mommy in the wagon.  Being a good sport, Mommy got in the wagon and sat down. Baby Bella proceeded to pull her down the drive way but abandoned Mommy in the street when the going got tough.

Being a good sport, Mommy just sat there and didn't complain.  Hey, it was Sunday.  Life was good.

Diva...

and Diva in training.   It was diva meets diva when Ellen came to visit this week.  One of Mommy's favorite people soon became one of Bella's.

Hmmm.  Is there a legal limit to the number of diva's permitted under one roof at a given time?  I might need to consult the regulatory codes in Tennessee.

Friday Foot Frite

Apparently, Bella had some dirty fun at the Discovery Center on Friday.   She was excited to show us her dirty feet when we picked her up.

Sugar, Spice and everything dirty should be her motto.

League of Her Own

Baby Bella was in a league of her own trying on Skyler's batting helmet.   Hats are not really her thing but anything of brother's is a treat to this little girl.

Shoe Muffin

Wearing Mommy's shoes is not new but I get a real kick out Bella's new obsession with this particular pair of shoes.

Nothing says Deborah Cain like a pair of shoes with bling.  And Baby Bella has taken to this pair like a Little Deborah.  She even manages to walk in them pretty well.

That's my girl - uh, Mommy's girl.

Wild Kingdom

Baby Bella demonstrating her climbing techniques - in her nature habitat.   She has become a veracious climber.  We are longer able to let her run around the house while we sit down - a quiet Bella means a climbing Bella.

I often call her Daddy's little monkey - she is living up to the name. Trust me, she is in need of  a healthy fear of heights.
