Imagine my surprise when I opened the loft door and found a rat. A large loft rat.  A cute one though.

Shelter Move

The weather finally cooperated and the equipment was able to come move the new shelter into the Donkey/Mini pasture.  We barely had it placed when the snow begin to fall.  Two hours later the ground was mostly covered.  Timing is everything.
 

Introduction to the Shelter

All indications are, they love it and appreciative. 
 

Nap & Progress

The horses enjoyed a post breakfast nap in the sun while we mucked the stalls and installed new metal hay feeders in the stall.  Hmm, they nap and we work.  It's like they own us.

An early morning bale of hay for the donkeys before heading out to work. They were grateful. 
 

Common Site

We have been intentional about eating at home since the start of the year, even the girls got in on the action with the a, wait for it, green cake.  Don't judge, it was delicious. 
 

Barn Raising

Thrilled to see progress happening on the garage/barn. It only took them two days to get the frame and metal completed.

Update on Cain Covid

A week in, Deborah and I are noticeably better.  Isasbella is much better.   Deborah and I are making good progress and feeling better.  I would say Isabella is almost completely over it.   Having had Covid in October of 2020, I can tell you the Omnicron variant hasn't been nearly as bad. Very grateful to have the whole family on the mend.

Sedona Ridge in Snow
