A private note to Isabella.  Have a Rhonda. Always have a Rhonda in your life.  Have a girlfriend with whom you can be yourself.  Your true self. A girlfriend who will laugh with you and at you. A girlfriend who will buy you chocolate but also try to get you to take coconut oil.  Have a Rhonda.

Have a girlfriend who will hold her dignity, your hair and her word. Have a girlfriend who will have your back, slap your backside and fix your bra strap.  Have a Rhonda.

Have a girlfriend that you can trust with your man, your money and your miniskirt. Have a girlfriend who will pray for you, plead with you and pay for dinner.  Have a Rhonda. 

Have a girlfriend who will dance with you.  No really, this is very important because your man may not always want to dance.  Have a girlfriend who will dance with you and enjoy a dance party in the living room or backyard.  Have a Rhonda. 

The Bible says with all thy getting, get understanding.  This is true.  I understand that you will need to get a Rhonda.  Always have a Rhonda.  Life is the richer for it and you the better person as a result.

Friday Night Tradition

Bowling and the arcade have become a Friday night tradition.  This was a good night, Daddy won 500 tickets and Isabella bowled a 100 for the first time. 

First Day of Third Grade

It's going to be a pineapple and braids kind of year.

Hangry at the Pool

Three pictures that explain the cycle. First, the hangry.  Second, Daddy jumps into action and makes a snack plate.  Third,  hangry is replaced by happy. Rinse and Repeat.  Next hour, it will be the other kid.  The struggle is real.

The Little Mermaid at TPAC

WOW!  What a day!  It's been on our schedule for months and much anticipated.  A Daddy Daughter Date to TPAC to see the Broadway version of The Little Mermaid.  This was Isabella's very first visit to TPAC and her very first Broadway style musical.

She loved it!  She was on the edge of her seat the whole time.  Such a magical time watching her eyes glitter with amazement and excitement.  There may or may not have been a tear in my eye in Act II when  Ariel's father sang "there comes a time when a father has to let his girl go."

A truly wonderful experience.  Blessed to share her first Broadway musical with this amazing girl.
