Had We Known...
Had we known, we might have purchased a thunder machine for these canines. We were awakened by loud thunder this morning and it has stormed nearly all day. Turns out, they are very afraid of thunder. They have just laid by our side and been perfect little angels. Now, where I can find a thunder machine to encourage this behavior over the long haul?

Sun Up, Barn Up
Isabella arrived at the barn as the sun was coming up. She and Queen did some great work today. At the end of her eight hours of barn work, Isabella was invited to move up to a leadership role in the barn. We are excited to see what's next for our little horse lover. Her skills continue to improve.

Anniversary 15!!!!!
My Dad used to say, "you can tell a lot about a person by the way they fill their shoes." I've thought a lot about that as Deborah and I have celebrated our Anniversary today. She has filled a lot of shoes in our 15 years of marriage - and with grace, laughter and class.
She's as comfortable and feminine in muck boots / cowgirl boots as she is in heels. She'll shoot you a smile but she also shoots a Glock, an AR, a .22, a shotgun and an M4 Carbine.
She loves unconditionally and is fiercely loyal but doesn't take herself too seriously. We get teased a lot for matchy, matchy dressing. There is no on else on earth I'd rather be with, dress like, shoot with, travel with or farm with.
Happy Anniversary to my soulmate, playmate and partner.

Farmology
We are always proud when we can say we've worked enough to make Sedona tired. That is sort of the benchmark now.
Farm Lunch
There is no drive through anything here. You want it, you make it. Dogs and Burgers are standards for lunch.

Night / Morning
We Started burning sticks on Saturday and this morning, the fire was still going. It has been non-stop for three days now. Sedona and I plan to make it four.
Special Canine Breakfast
No, I didn't cook her breakfast on the open fire. I stopped by Starbucks on the way to the farm and they gave me a Pup Cup for Sedona. I mixed it with her food, AND, she loved it! Good thing, she's gonna need her energy today.
Sticking with the Sticks
This may look like duplicate pictures but these are actually different loads of stick that Sedona and I picked up. It has been a full day of gathering, loading and burning.
