Chop Sticks

Sometimes the unplanned brings about the most unexpected results.  A stop at PF Changs for a casual lunch turned into the joy of watching the kids try their hand at chop sticks for the very first time.

They did very well and were proud of themselves.  Me too.  I love the look of satisfaction on their face when they have that moment.  There is something to be said for an adventurous spirit.

Movie Date

My beautiful movie date for a screening of The Smurfs.   Popcorn, Nerds and memories for a life time.

Arcade

Bella was a little creeped out by the character Gargamel so she and Daddy went to the lobby and played in the arcade for last half of the movie.

A great time at dinner, a great time at the movie, a great time at the Arcade.  It was never about the movie, it was about the girl.  Just happy to be spending time with her.

Is it me or does she look way over her age?  Four going on fourteen.

2,000 Come and Gone

 

Milestones come, milestones go.  Sometimes with fanfare, sometimes with a whimper.

I have been anticipating the arrival of the 2,000th post to Baby Bella's Blog.  With a busy schedule I somehow missed it and now realize 2,000 has come and gone.  We stand at 2,020.

Still, I have to take a moment to celebrate Baby Bella's Blog.  These are, indeed, the life and times of Isabella Reagan Blythe Cain.  It has been the honor of my life to have a front row seat.

Candy Pop Season

Aw, 'tis the season.  Bella's love of candy pop (candy corn) is legendary.   She spotted a display of fresh candy corn at the drug store and exclaimed "candy pop!" 

The hot summer sun burns but Fall is in sight and with it, the season of candy pop begins.

Tap Dance

 

 

Another week, another adventure at Whitman's School of Dance.  Bella fit right in with the new ballet class and thoroughly enjoyed her introduction to tap dance..

And Daddy?  Daddy is just a fool for this little girl and her adventures.  Mommy and I have such a good time watching her.  In Mommy's words, "she is just so stinkin' cute" out there dancing.

Who new a little girl could make my heart dance?

Bella Spa

Or more appropriately titled "The Best Brother Ever."

Isabella talked Skyler into letting her give him a bathroom spa treatment.  20 minutes later his facial and hair styling were done.   His shirt wet, his head banged up and his face rubbed raw.  Even so, he told her what a wonderful job she did.

Bella Spa - bath time has never been so entertaining.  Props to brother for being such a good sport.

Sleep Thought

Awake, Isabella is a deep thinker.  I love how she puts on her serious face and carefully explains things to me like I don't have a clue.

Asleep, Isabella is a sleep thinker.  I love this pose.  I could stare and watch her sleep for hours when she puts her head in her hand like she's pondering some great truth.

Here's a great truth,  we think your pretty awesome, Isabella.

Corn Hole Competition
