Sunday Apart

Moms last day of Girls Weekend and our last day of being unsupervised. Bella and I headed off to church while Mom heads back home.
 

Girls Weekend, Day 2

They seem to be having a great time up north. Lots of pool time is what I hear but I don't have or need a lot of detail.

The Meat Market

Day two of being unsupervised, we decided to head south to Amish country. First stop, The Meat Market in Summertown.  One of Dad's favorite BBQ places.  I highly recommend the chopped brisket sandwich.

Western Arch Horn Saddle

Bella and I wondered into Mr. Zook's tack shop and left without a purchase.  We were so impressed with our unsupervised selves.  Then we stopped into Mr. Gingrich's Saddle Shop.  Maybe we were just over confident or maybe it was the unsupervised part, but we accidently bought a saddle. 

Bella scored a lite weight Western Arch Horn saddle that he just happened to have in her size. I'll admit - nothing like an Amish saddle.  Or tack for the matter.

If I'm your Christmas list, I wear size Amish Tack.

Girls Weekend

Deborah is away on a girls weekend trip.  You know what that means,  Isabella and I are unsupervised all weekend.  Look out ya'll!

Horse Auction Unsupervised!

WooHoo!  What a fun night but we didn't end up bringing home the Palomino. There were some great horses on this night though.  We did pick up some missing tack pieces.

The Auction Rug

So....they were about to auction off this western looking area rug at the sale.  Bella was putting the hard sell on me to buy it for her.  I was a hard and definite, "No!"  The old man sitting on the other side of me bought it and gave it to her.   Very, very kind of the old guy.  He and I enjoyed sitting next to each other jawing about the horses all night.
 

Mousers

Our new mousers are coming along just fine! They have made themselves completely at home in the hay tent.

Happy Leaper

This fellow nearly made me jerk the steering wheel.  The happy leaper was all over the place. Glad to report we are both safe.

Horse or Dog?

Hard to tell.  Isabella loves meeting the pets of our clients.  If you have to work with your parents occasionally, you might as well get the benefit of meeting new pets.
 

Ms. Liberty

No, not the one in NY Harbor.  The one on Rory Feek's Homestead - his new foal named, Liberty.  So happy to be introduced to her after church this morning.

She and Bella got along from the first minute. 

Oh, No Catwomen

This visit didn't end well.  We ended up bringing home two kittens from the Homestead. Bobi (the bobtail) and Suan his sister. 

The Morning Hits Hard

When your Saturday started at 6am and went to dusk.  Farming is not for the faint of heart.

Friday Pool Pick-Up

Isabella pick-up a game of pool while waiting on Peter and I to finish our burgers.  She didn't win but she impressed him nonetheless. Another Friday night Boondox tradition.

When Clara decided to walk around with the Please Close the Gate sign. Mules are just different.

Cowgirl Roast

Deborah and Cowgirl Bella were treated to a roast beef dinner at Nana's while I was out working. Yum!

Sunday Cowgirl...

...at her best! This cowgirl takes me to church looking like this and expects me to keep my mind on the Lord?  Lord, have mercy.  A fun Sunday with my Cowgirl.  Even the Crepe Myrtles showing off their best summer color can't compete with her.

Dead Reckoning

We have been looking forward to it for months!!!!! Happy to be at the theatre to see Mission Impossible #7, it did not disappoint.

Ranging with the Kelley's

Isabella and I enjoyed having the Kelley's over for an evening shoot at the Range.  Good times by all and Isabella fired a heavy 308 for the first time.  Big time gun for a 14 year old - she handled it like a champ.
