Last / First

This last day of May marks the first introduction to Baby Bella's new daycare.  This evening Mommy, Daddy and Baby Bella attended the orientation for Discovery.  We met the teacher, toured the grounds and found where all of the neat toys are kept.  Bella loved the doll house station.

Last and first experiences come with a ton of emotions.   As excited as we are and as sure as we are that this is the right place for Bella, it is tough knowing that she is having to make new friends in a strange place.

Then again, it comes with the comfort of knowing that she will only be there between nine and three every day.  No more long days at daycare.  We now have the opportunity to enjoy her at at home for the majority of the day.

Anxiously awaiting tomorrow.

Memorial Day 2011

Time to break out the bathing suit and head to the pool.

Memorial Day 2011 - The Pool

Nothing like good friends and a salt water pool on a 95 degree day.  We weren't really sure what to expect from Bella's first pool adventure this year but we were delighted that she took to it like...like a fish to water.

She was the last one out and the first one back in the water after lunch. She enjoyed splashing around and turning - that's a first for Baby Bella. Today she learned how to kick her legs and turn over in the pool.
We took in a little water a couple of times but she did really well.

Safe to say - it is going to be a summer of fun at the pool.

Memorial Day 2011 - The Rope

And another first for Baby Bella. She learned how to hold onto the rope and lean back.  At one point she had she head back and feet up like she was sitting in a recliner.  She loved it!

Memorial Day 2011 - Lunch Date

Baby Bella enjoyed her lunch date with the boys.

Memorail Day 2011 - Skydive

Skyler's swim and diving skills have improved dramatically since last year.  He can dive down and touch the bottom of the 8' pool.  And his ability to hold his breathe under water for long periods of time is both impressive and scary.

Memorial Day 2011 - The Popsicle

It wouldn't be a day at Eva's and Jimmy's if the kids weren't being pumped full of sugar and spoiled rotten.  Baby Bella enjoyed her very first Popsicle on this wonderful Memorial Day.

New Friend

New day, new car, new friend.  Baby Bella has enjoyed getting to know new neighbor Emily.  They took a spin in Bella's new car today.    And like a good neighbor  - (don't say State Farm is there, please) Baby Bella shared the wheel.

Like a Lady Should

Am I the only one who notices that Baby Bella carries her hand bag like Queen Elizabeth?  Baby Bella enjoyed playing with the hand bag Grandma bought for her birthday.

Rocking The Baby

Baby Bella took time to rock her Baby in the her new rocking chair.

No, those are not pants that belong to the baby.  Those are socks that belong on Bella's feet.  This is an on-going issue we are having with our bare foot girl.   Her socks and shoes end up every where but on her feet.

In contrast, our shoes end up on her feet.  Go figure.

Bubble Mower

Daddy was glad to have the help with the yard.  Baby Bella took time out of her busy day to mow the yard - bubbles and all.

Birthday Two - The Cake

Baby Bella enjoyed her rescheduled birthday party today.  The theme was Ballerina.   I think BFF Ava Grace enjoyed the cake more than Bella.

Birthday Two - The Presents

Did you say presents?  Bella, with Mommy's help, managed to work her way through the presents: Baby Doll, rocking chair, Bubble Mower, clothes, purse and...

Birthday Two - The Bag

Aunt B's singing bag was a big hit with Baby Bella.  The gift bag played Happy Birthday every time she opened the bag.   Bella requested it over and over again.
