Take Your Dog to Work Day

This National observance gives me a chance to brag on my office mate.  Always glad to have Lady Juliet in the office with me.

Emily Baptized

Really excited to see Emily Bolton baptized this morning.  Can't wait to see what God has in store for her life.

Bolton Love

Then over to the Bolton's for an afternoon of fellowship, including canine fellowship.  We really enjoyed Doc Holiday and Gus.

A tougher lesson today, Ms. Jelly was not in the mood to train.  Bella had to argue with her all day.

Sahara Desert Dust Storm

Strange to be watching a sunset that is is impacted by sand from the Sahara Desert, 6,400 miles away.  Very interesting and beautiful.  End of the day, 21,150 steps.  That'll work!  I do believe I got my Cardio in today.

Bowling with the Tweens

Back to Friday night bowling.  The girls decided to go without bumpers - it actually improved their score.

Hand Made Pillow

The girls decided to collaborate on a sewing project this evening.  They got out a box of sewing supplies from Grandma and made a large pillow.  It needs one final touch on the end but they did a good job.

Hydrangea's

I cut Hydrangea's for the table this evening.  If you look closely you can see the rain on the petals.

Rock Collection

A look at some of the rocks Isabella secured for her collection while we were out in Colorado.  She put them on a towel and got them all washed off before we headed back home.

Gardens Grow

Isabella was really excited to get back and see how her garden was growing.  Thanks to BFF Chloe for keeping it watered while visited with brother. 

 It's becoming very clear we didn't know much about spacing when we started.  Our little garden has quickly outgrown its space.    Maybe we should have consulted with our Master Gardner kin, Uncle Frank.

Sunrise, Garden of the Gods

I was up at 4am,  sitting with coffee in my hand at the Mesa Rd. Lookout at 4:45am.  The mission was to capture sunrise at Garden of the Gods.  As it turns out, that is a tough assignment.

The sun rises behind you over a smaller mountain.  It then breaks first atop Pikes Peak and works its way down the valley til it finally overtakes the beautiful red rock formations.  The pictures don't do it justice.

I hate to say, "you had to be there," but you had to be there.
