Because we needed one more blonde on the farm.  Isabella all smiles as she welcomes home the Palomino Mini she bought with her own money.  Murphey was very curious about this latest addition.

It's clearly fly season, Isabella did the horses the favor of putting on fly masks. I never knew flies were such a problem until I had horses. Every barn has to have a fly strategy.

Look closely, that is Isabella driving the Ram truck on those narrow Amish roads.  We had a great day together, visiting some of our favorite Amish tradesmen.  And yes, we may have stopped at DQ on the way back.

Pasture to Pasture

Three conventions and a Homestead Festival in ten days, the horses were in need of some hay but the hay barn was empty.  Bella and I ran over to our hay friends and picked up hay straight from their pasture. You might say, farm to table.  Or maybe pasture to pasture.  The horses are giving it a favorable review.
 

Grand Banquet Surprise

Well, it was bound to happen.  A nice young man came over to ask Isabella to dance at the Grand Banquet.  He was very nice, even went to thank the band for playing his song afterward.  And came to shake my hand to thank me for letting him dance with my daughter.  It started out as a routine business dinner but ended up a fun evening of dancing and laughing.  A TFDA to remember!
