Tornado Scare

First, we are safe and our property is safe.  We give thanks for that.! But this was a rough night none of us will forget.

We knew storms were coming but thought we had time to run and grab some  salad and pizza in Eagleville.  We were half way through our food when everyone's phone started going off with a Tornado Warning.  Then a couple of minutes later, Amber texted us and said "get out of Eagleville."

We ran to the Jeep and headed South.  Then heard on the radio that the tornado was tracking on Flat Creek Road.  We were one mile away but headed straight for it.  We did a U-turn and headed North.  Driving was tough - hard driving rain and an eerie green sky.  But we did manage to avoid the tornado.

The picture above is of the exact tornado we were trying to outrun.  The damage along Bear Creek Road in Columbia is staggering.   Very grateful to be safe. Prayers for those who sustained damage.

Fence Down

We awoke to the news that two sections of our front fence were down and we had horses grazing by the road.  We sprung into action and had them corralled pretty quickly.  Then it was time to call Irish friend Peter to get our fence hot wired.   We have been noticing the horses leaning on the fence of late, not anymore.  We are HOT!

Tex has a Mohawk Again

Today's chore was to capture the wild mule we call Tex and give him a hair cut.  Isabella did a great cut on him and he looks good even if he isn't appreciative.
