Murphey & Me

I was doing some yard work and looked over to see Murphey looking at me with his chin resting on the fence post.  That look I gave me Dad when I was little that says, "please stop working and come play ball with me."  I walked over to the fence and this happened.

Doc Holliday

A wonderful time as our friend group gathered at Boondox's to hear Doc and his band.  THEY ARE GOOD!  Go see them if you get chance.   A little country, a lot of rock and even some Rocky Top Tennessee.  Fun times!

Dog or Coyote?

It does require a second look at night but it would be odd to find a coyote riding in the Ranger with me.  Sedona wanted to hang with me for chores after I got back.  I'm a lucky man - my human girls, my equine girls, my canine girls, my feline girls - they all miss me when I'm out of town

Jeff Dunham

Several years ago Deborah and I had tickets to see Jeff Dunham but little Isabella came down with a virus the day of.  We have hoped for a make-up date and the stars finally aligned.  What an evening!  This man is crazy good at his craft!    And of course, we had to walk across the street for dinner at The Palm.   We were hungry after all of that laughter.

It has been a very busy season for us with work and family - we needed this down day of relaxing fun! Epic! We will talk about this one for a long time to come.

Big n Small

It was time to reintroduce the dogs and horses now that they are going to be sharing the same property.  It went pretty well with the horses.  Rambo the cat, however, was not happy. He went all Zacchaeus and climbed a sycamore tree. 
 

Farm Sunday

A perfect Sunday breakfast bowl of hot sausage and eggs.  Then off to clean the trailer out from yesterday's transport. It's a great day on the farm.
 

Prosect and Back

We helped Dennis trailer all of his horses to Prospect, caught some DQ ice cream and made it back in time for the horse auction.  A long and fun day  - horses, friends, DQ and more horses.  It doesn't get any better than that!

Moving to the Farm

It's finally here, stage 1 of moving to the farm. We are thankful for the memories here but we are beyond excited to be there with our animals and eliminate the back and forth.  Grateful looking back, grateful looking forward.  As the song says, "I have lived in the goodness of God."
