Horse Relationships

Emerald May has decided it's her job to hang by Desi's quarantine pen to keep her company. They seem like friends, then Emerald bites her, then sniffs her, then they face snuggle.  This my friends, is the whacky world of unpredictable horse relationships.  It's not much different than horse/human relationships.

Isabella Drives the Truck

A long and hot Saturday working the farm, I'm at the bottom of the hill ready to leave.  My truck is at the top of the hill.  What would you do?  I asked Isabella to get in the truck and drive it down to me. She did great!  Her first ever experience behind the wheel.  Mom is going be none to happy.

Grindstone BLT

An early alarm, a stop at The Grindstone for coffee and their famous BLT. Then onto the chore of the morning - a load of square bales.  Thankful for a smiling farm girl to help speed the process.

Free Breakfast

Went through the drive thru on the way home and the super cute blonde in the Jeep ahead of me bought my breakfast.  Gonna be a good day, Tater.   And yes, that is my wife....thank you very much.

Louisville by Night

Always nice to have the IT guy in the house.  Duane came in to help us love on our Kentucky peeps. A relaxing post convention dinner overlooking Louisville.

Homestead Festival 2023

Is it Homestead time already?  This is what a summer evening is all about - Paul Overstreet and Rory Feek on stage at the Homestead.  Oh, and Cody was also a star at the festival tonight.  Bless his heart, it was like a kid at a tent revival, he just fell asleep on the chairs.

Hernia Update

Some have inquired about my health, so here is a quick update. Mostly better but not altogether out of the woods.  I have not had to have surgery so we are calling that a win.

I am now wearing a truss during the day. I told my buddies that it made me feel old but that Deborah said it made my "package" look bigger.  Now they are all wearing one also. It's like I have Job's friends.
