First Day, 4th Grade

JoJo Box #2

Exciting day!!!!!  The second installment of Bella's quarterly JoJo box arrived today.  It had a lot of really cool items - a beach towel, a beach ball, a tank T, ice cube tray in the shape of hair bows, a charm and a JoJo bow (of course).

Wake Me in Paris

"Do a photo blog," they said.  "It'll be easy," they said.  "Pictures are quick." they said.  They lie.  This is what I have to go through to get one picture of Isabella in her new "Wake Me When We Get to Paris" pj's.   Apparently, the idea of Paris creates all kinds of wild energy around this girl.

The Mighty Colorado River

A great view of the mighty Colorado River as we fly home.  I still can't get my mind around the Hoover Dam project and what they accomplished there.  I have a whole new perspective on that part of American history.  

And I must confess, I am concerned about the low water level at Lake Mead.  Are we building too many cities in the desert that we can't sustain?

Vegas, the Final Day

Final day of our Vegas Vacation, we decided to spend our day relaxing and playing by the pool.

Water Sports

As parents, we envision beach or pool days as these wonderfully relaxing days where we sit in a lounge chair on contemplate the goodness of the Lord.  In reality, they are days full of exertion as your kids engage you over and over.  Very little time for rest, that's for sure.

I can celebrate however that I have spent another wonderful day with my kids.  I can rest on the plane ride home.

The Race is On

A little friendly race doing the back stroke.  This really tickles me.  This little fish just learned the backstroke this summer and can already beat me in a race.  Her leg power is no joke, she can really propel herself through the water.

Dinner Encore

Back to Bellagio for The Buffet.  My kids, yes, my kids requested the buffet.  Grandpa Cain would be so proud.  No one enjoyed a good dinner buffet like my Dad.  It seems that part of the DNA survives in my kids.  Dinner and then a quick stop at Caesar's for a souvenir or ten.

The Ultimate Variety Show

We had time to squeeze in one more show before calling it a Vegas Vacation.  The name is very accurate!  I am having to use stock images because we weren't allowed to take pictures during the performance but this was an amazing show.  The House of Cain consensus is that it was the best show we saw in Las Vegas.     V The Ultimate Variety Show!
