Spring Fling

This beautiful spring break day was the perfect setting for a spring fling with family and friends.

Starting with a painting party with BFF Ava Grace, followed by lunch and shopping.  That's not all.

On to Nana's for a play date with a new baby doll and a round of paper dolls at Nana's table.

Wow!  Gotta love Spring Flings.

A Moment for Us

Seven years ago today.  Deborah and I took a day to celebrate the day, the day we joined our hearts as one and headed out on this journey together.

Seven years.  She is just as beautiful and I love her just as much as I did that day. Happy Anniversary, my soulmate.

Jack Daniel's

The restaurant, not the drink.

And if you go, order up a sweet tea in a large mason jar.  A pan of yeast rolls glazed with honey butter and sea salt.  The Classic Jack burger adorned with two strips of thick cut hickory smoked bacon, served with steak fries the size of Idaho.

Be sure to tell them it's your anniversary! Triple Chocolate cake is on the house!

First Movie

Isabella went to see her very first theater movie today.   For better or worse, The Croods will forever be remembered as her first movie.

I still contend the popcorn and candy were her highlights but it was a fun outing for the whole family.

Movie Characters

Bella insisted on posing with all of the character statues in the theater lobby.  I say "she insisted" as if there was any protest from me.  I was all too happy to oblige.

Sticks

A visit to Grandma & Grandpa's gave the kids an opportunity to help Grandpa pick up sticks.  Some were small and some were, well, huge.  But every one was a moment of fun with Grandpa.

Sticks and Swings

Just keeping it real, I have to admit we had a little trouble with a couple of our workers.  Bella and Grandpa took a long break to swing.  Legs out, up, up and away.  They swung and giggled a good long while.

We'll just have to over look it. They clearly had a great time.

Tags

Bella's comfort at the end of a long day is playing with her tags with one hand and holding her milk in with the other one.  I couldn't help but chuckle as I held her tonight and noticed that he had a hand full of blanket care tags as opposed to the silk tags she prefers.

With eyes tightly closed, I presume it made no difference to her.

Confirmed

The rumor is true.  We snuck out the house in our PJ's for dessert.  And as you can see from her smile, Bella is not at all feeling remorseful.

Behind Closed Doors

Bella wouldn't let me take a picture in the room so I had to stand outside my bedroom and take a picture of the door.  Still, a precious moment that I wanted to capture.

Bella lined up all of her baby dolls and teddy bears in a semi circle.  Stood in the middle and led them in worship songs.  So thankful for her genuine spirit of worship.

Double Event

A business outing followed by a dinner date with my blonde bombshell.   Bella and Ms. Tiffini sent us a text picture to show us they were having more fun than we were.  I don't know, we did enjoy ourselves.

So glad Bella loves her Tiffini.  She is such a good role model for our little princess.

Water Fountain

Love that she's learning to drink from the water fountain.  Would love it even more if I could teach her to NOT touch it with her mouth.

Oh well. It's still progress.

Girl watches Boys...

...Girl plays ball like the boys.  Bella found Skyler's old glove and ran into the street screaming "I play! I play!"

Really thought I was saving that glove so that Sky could keep his first ever leather glove as a keepsake.  Guess I was wrong, Bella has decided she's learning to play ball too.

Hmm, might have to head to the Sporting Goods store for a pink leather glove.
