Uncle Frank turns 80

The family was thrilled to help Uncle Frank celebrate his 80th birthday today.  Bella's highlight was hanging with Grandma / Grandpa and meeting cousin Olivia for the first time.

Happy Birthday, Uncle Frank!  You make 80 look fun.

Field Judge

A keen observer and an even tougher field judge.  Bella enjoyed critiquing brother and his teammates at practice. 

My favorite comment?  "Oh, Daddy. That wasn't good."  These boys are gonna have to step it up to impress this little field judge.

Who Dat?

Who Dat behind the chair?  Super women?  Bat women? A body builder?  NO, it is super Bella!  The strongest three year old around.

And yes, no piece of furniture it safe when she's around.

Baseball 2013

Play ball.   Big brother has decided to play baseball this season.  Four practices in five days, oh yeah, baseball is in full swing.

Well Read Bear

Thanks to Bella, this is one well read Bear.   She enjoys reading to her bear, which is most interesting since he can't yet read.   I'm always interested to hear the story she creates based on the pictures.

Soon, very soon she will read and then, then we will have a well read Bella and teddy bear.

BRAKES

This was important day in the bike history of one Isabella Reagan.  Today, we learned how to apply the brakes.   Today was the first day of the rest her life as learned the  "appropriate and timely application of brakes.

I can still hear myself saying over and over "No, Bella.  You wait until your front tire is on top of my foot to apply the brakes."  Is this what it's going to be like teaching her to drive a car?

I can only hope we have this much fun. 

Car Wash Blues

And why is it kids love to smash their noses against the glass and watch the car go through?  I did it and still don't know why.

This I know.  That glass has never had a more beautiful nose print.

Sorta of Like Spring

No, spring hasn't sprung.  But it was close enough to 70 for us to pretend today.  Hammock and backyard golf - makes you wish it was Spring.

Mystery Solved

I am filing this under "why it takes girls so much longer to get ready."  Bella insisted on getting creative and doing a "side" pony tail.

Papa Bear

Go Big...

Big heart, Big thoughts, Big designs, Big intentions, Big plans.  Bella gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "Go Big or Don't Go at All."

She never says "can we play Lego's?" or "let's build something."  It's always "can we build a big castle?"  Or "can we build a big tower?"   "Can we build a big house?"

Yes! Yes, you can Baby Bella.  You can dream big.  You can think big.  You can plan big. You are bigger than life.  Go Big, I love your Big spirit.

Grandpa found himself being shadowed everywhere he went.  Shhh, tell you a secret.  He loved it.

Positions Please

They say every dog has his day.  Well, apparently, so does every Daddy.  And today?  Today was my day.

I finally got take Isabella to dance class.  She loved showing off and I loved watching her show off.  It was - the perfect Daddy / Daughter Dance.

Watering the Pots

So you've never seen anyone water their pots with fleece Minnie Mouse PJ's and pink snow boots?  Well, pity you.  You haven't been on the House of Cain front porch when Bella was tending to her pansies.

Sleep Over

A first for Isabella Reagan and a Birthday wish for Ava Grace.

Bella was so excited to do her very first sleep over.  Even better that it was with Ava Grace to help her celebrate her 5th birthday.

Mommy and Bella attended the pool party and then spent the night with BFF's Amber and Ava Grace.  And yes, those are matching PJ's the girls are wearing.  Thanks for noticing.
