First Day Back

All primed for our first day back at school.  Bella couldn't decide if she wanted to fly or drive to school.  She was so pumped up I think either way would have worked.

Teacher

No, it isn't the 70's, we are not burning bra's in the House of Cain.  It was actually laundry day.  Bella rescued Mommies bra's, lined up her baby dolls and explained to them how to properly wear them.

She begin with "I the teacher.." and went on from there.  A long lesson accomplished, Bella insisted that her baby dolls take a nap.

Tip of the Hat

With a tip of the hat,  Bella was off to the Saturday morning ritual of banking.  She loves the bank - give you one guess why.  Hint: it has nothing to do with money.

It's the sucker, sucker.  She loves the suckers.

Look See

Look who can put on her own tennis shoes. Now that, that is worth celebrating.  If I could only count the number of hours I have spent putting on shoes - at every stop.

Not any more, now the shoeless blonde in my back seat can put on her own shoes. PTL!

Princess Lunch Box

Now you can't start back to school without a new lunch box.  To no surprise, Bella chose a Princess lunch box.

God save the Queen.  And long live the Princess.

Back to School Shoes

It's August.  Let the back to school shopping begin.  Bella is sporting her new light up velcro shoes.

Wanna see them light up?  Just ask, she will gladly stomp all over the house to show you.

BOOster Seat

Boo, showing off her brand new booster seat.  Yes, booster seat.  She is growing out of her car seat and is aspring to a new pink booster seat.

You can, of course, take one look at the pictures and see that she is proud beyond measure.  If it truly is the little things in life that count, Bella will be one of the happiest people to have lived.  This little girl knows how to celebrate the little things.

Frinkles

Every summer day the sun comes out. And with it, come Mommy's freckles.  Long a topic of conversation in our house (I simply adore her freckles),  Mommy's freckles have taken on new meaning this summer.

Bella calls them "frinkles".  And not to be out done, she has started counting her frinkles.  Wanting so desperately to be like her Mommy, she is excited that she has found four frinkles on her young frame.

Frinkles - it does have a ring to it. Spot on, Bella.  (pun intended)

Cuz T Turns Five

Cousin Tristan celebrated his birthday with Chuckie Cheese and family.

Along for the Ride

Bella was thrilled to be along for the ride - literally.

Hit It!

Bella learning some gaming skills from Mom.

Life in a Bubble

Not the blogging bubble, a real bubble.  Bella climbed her way to the top of the Chuckie Cheese bubble.  I am going to take the liberty of assuming this says something larger about Bella having what it takes to takes to climb to the top in life.

How dare I make such an assumption?  I dare because I'm the Dad and the author of this blog.

Laundry Mate

Check out that perfectly folded and neatly organized pantie drawer.  Baby Bella has become the best laundry mate you could ask for.  She is especially diligent about folding her underwear a certain way, before putting them away.

Obsessive compulsive?  You betcha.  That's my girl.

Playing Well...

....with dummies.

We pride ourselves on playing well with others.  Some days, playing with plastic dummies is the only way to make that a successful goal.

No, this wasn't one of those days.  Bella just happened to be at the Mall for a ride with a dummy. Funny thing is, she talks to them just the same.

This girl has turned our world upside down.

Bonded

The week after vacation is always busy.  Dad is back on the road and reflecting on family, kids and good times.

Drive time has given me the opportunity to reflect on the truly amazing bond between my kids.  The age difference alone would suggest they would have trouble being close - nothing could be further from the truth.

They are each other's biggest fan.  They live to make each other laugh.  And they are in complete solidarity when it comes to pushing our buttons.

I wouldn't have it any other way.
