Sunbather

The weather called for another day at the pool.  Baby Bella experienced her first ride on a float.  I do believe we have another sunbather in the family.  Bring on the SPF 50.

Chew Toys?

Baby Bella has rediscovered the relief a frozen chew toy can bring to mouth of a teething baby - or toddler.

Watering the Vinca

Baby Bella was excited to get to handle the water hose all by herself.  All was well until Daddy accidentally sprayed her in the face.  (No, really.  It was an accident.)  But Bella shook it off and kept going.  

There is just no joy like that of two gardeners tending to their passion. And when that fellow gardener happens to be your daughter?  Well, moments like that take your breathe away.

Aunt Judy

Baby Bella meets Aunts Judy for the very first time.  They were old friends really really fast.

Ice it Down

Uh Oh!  Look who has a boo boo.  It wasn't as bad as Baby Bella would have you believe but she insisted on an ice pack to sooth the fingers.

By the way, did you know the blades of a battery operated helicopter hurt when you stick your fingers into them?  Bella knows.

New Trick

Baby Bella is proud of herself for being able to lean her head back in the tub to rinse the shampoo.  She must have the read the instructions on the shampoo bottle.  She has that "REPEAT" thing down pat.  She wants to do it over and over again.

I may well have the cleanest two year old around.

Baby Doll Wanna Be

Baby Bella trying out the comforts of her Baby Doll bed.  She spends all day telling us "I do, I do. I do it!" to prove she's a big girl and then climbs in a baby doll bed.  What am I missing here?

BUBBLES!!!!!!!

Shopping

The family ventured out for their first true shopping in a long while.   All is well that ends well and Daddy ended up with an iPad.  All the better to blog with...

V-Smile

Baby Bella still enjoys pretending she is playing Skyler's old V-Smile games.  Truth is, she is just turning it on and off til the battery expires.  But hey, every gamer started somewhere.

Pinkt Toes

No, not another Daddy typo.  Baby Bella woke up this morning to exclaim:  "Pinkt Toes!  Pinkt Toes!"  Who new the word Pink had a "T" in the spelling?

It seems Mommy painted Bella's toes after Bella went to sleep.  The Pinkt was a surprise to her this morning.  

Gentle Giant

Blix could have had Baby Bella as an appetizer.  Instead, Mike and Karyn's Grey Hound allowed Bella to dress him up and put a bow in his hair.  And to add insult to injury, Bella played in his crate.

Thank God for gentle giants.

Carting

Carting is what Bella now does at Target and Kroger.  She stands in the merchandise section of the shopping cart and either tells you where she wants to go or plays peek a boo - up and down. Up and down.

You can't find a more enthusiastic shopper.

Feed the Tiger

Bella has decided she is the official feeder of Tiger Lily the cat.  Or Whilly, as Bella calls her. Nonetheless, she is doing a fine job of keeping the cat feed. 

Sunday Dress & Dance

Bella was all set for church until she spotted one of her old hats in Mommy's consignment box.  She then grabbed the hat, put it on and danced all over the house.

Hmmm.  Can't remember the last time that happened to me.  Must be a girl thing.  A pretty and happy girl thing.

Boom, Boom, Kaboom

The family went over to enjoy one of Nana's legendary Meatloaf dinners this evening.   The night was capped off with a presentation of fireworks left over from the 4th.

Bella insisted on carrying her own chair - you have to admire the work ethic.
